Accessibility Overview
We’re committed to making Blue Spring Adventures as welcoming and inclusive as possible. Below is an overview of the current accessibility features across our property.
Terrain and Public Areas
- Sidewalks and Pathways: Surfaces are concrete or wood and mostly level, with gentle slopes. No steep hills or rough terrain.
- Public Areas: All indoor public spaces are accessible via ramps.
- Doors: Exterior building doorways are not automated.
- Parking: 12 designated accessible parking spots on concrete surfaces, located 50–150 yards from key areas.
- Flooring: All indoor flooring is tile.
Activities and Recreation
- Trails: A 3.6-mile natural trail through the woods; not paved and without benches or resting areas.
- Docks: Fixed docks with railings for safety.
- Boat Tours: Two-hour tours with overhead shade. Boats are wheelchair accessible and include an automated lift unaffected by water levels.
- Boat Rentals: Staff assist with boarding; no ADA-specific launch system available.
Lodging
- Campgrounds: Accessible by road but have natural dirt surfaces with uneven ground and slopes. Managed by the State Park.
