Effective Nov. 15, 2020, to March 31, 2021: The spring run at Blue Spring State Park is closed to all water activities for manatee season. This includes swimming, snorkeling, tubing, paddling, and diving.
Guests may not leave their canoe or kayak to swim. Once you leave the beach, you stay in the boat until you return to the beach.
Kayak reservations are for a specific start time if you DO NOT arrive within a half-hour of your start time, we will cancel their reservation and release their boat .
For guided tours, if the guest is not on property and ready to roll/row by 9:30 AM, the trip is cancelled due to time restrictions.
Alcohol is absolutely NOT allowed in the state park or in the kayaks.
If we have lightning within 5 miles, we pause launches for at least 30 minutes.
If an air horn is blown, ALL boats MUST return base until it is safe to launch again.
There is a minimum 1-hour charge for taking a boat past that orange buoy line, at this point refunds cannot issue.
We cannot reduce a half-day reservation to an hour if a guest changes their mind onsite. If a guest decides to stay out longer (within time limits), we can accommodate.
